Loads of coin dangles on this hand embroidered gorgeous Vintage Kuchi Tribal Vest. This is a gorgeous piece, with elaborate embroidery on both the outside and the inside (please see images). Vests like this were handmade by Kuchi tribal women for their own personal wear in accord with individual desires, so every vest is entirely different from any other. They are worn over other garments, or showing through openings in blouses or wraps.

 

The Kuchi are a nomadic people who have wandered freely across the borders of the various countries in the Central Asia for centuries. They are renown for their joyous way of life and exuberantly colorful dress. Handcrafted mid-1900's.
