Antique Hanuman Silver Pendant from India
Hanuman: Hanuman is a Hindu Deity with monkey-like features (vanara)
and one of the most beloved god-heroes in all of India. Said to be one of the
incarnations (avatars) of Lord Shiva, Hanuman is also the powerful son of the
Wind God Vayudeva allowing him to leap over huge expanses without effort. Completely devoted to Lord Rama (7th avatar of Lord
Vishnu), Hanuman used his shamanic powers of shape-shifting to help rescue Rama’s
wife (Sita) from the demon-king Ravana. His dedication to Lord Rama so
invigorated him, that physical fatigue eluded him despite his super-heroic

Rama, he is a revered symbol of physical strength, perseverance and devotion.
Every year in April, Hindus celebrate the Hanuman Jayanti Festival to commemorate

This is a large and hefty pendant made of solid silver, not a thin stamping. It portrays a leaping Hanuman carrying healing herbs to
save Rama’s brother in one hand, and his mace (gada) in the other.It was skillfully handcrafted in sturdy 90% silver in the early 1900’s
or late 1800's and is in excellent condition. Details remain clear and crisp, with traces of vermillion powder
