Exquisite sunburst pendant pair handcrafted 70-100 years ago in Gold-Washed (Gilded) Silver studded with 4 perfect blood-red Carnelians each. The design is classive Tekke, with etched silverwork designs of stylized flames and running lower sunburst border. Medallions like these were worn in pairs, one on either side of the body, hanging from side chains or sewn to embellished fabric panels. Today they are also worn as necklaces or woven into the hair at the temples to accent the face. These Antique Turkmen Tekke Pendants are of exceptional quality. It is rare to find 2 matching pieces of this quality still intact; sold as pair only. Collectible Museum Quality.
