Tribal Muse sells Old Tribal Jewelry, Contemporary Ethnic Jewelry, and Unique Fashion Jewellery from around the world.

 

With indigenous cultures being rapidly absorbed into modern society, many of the traditional older jewelry pieces that are so loaded with symbolism and meaning will be lost forever. Tribal Muse works hard to find these pieces and make them available at affordable prices to Collectors and to anyone who appreciates their timeless elegance.

 

The owner, Andrea Litton, holds a Masters Degree in Cultural Anthropology, among others. Over the years, she has developed long-term relationships with local people across the globe who guide her in finding much of the Old and Museum Quality Jewelry pieces that she offers for sale on the Tribal Muse website. These authentic and unique pieces are purchased directly from the regions in which they originated. Wherever possible, Tribal Muse provides provenience (origin and history) and symbolic interpretation of the pieces.

 

New Tribal and Ethnic Jewelry pieces are described as "Contemporary" on the Tribal Muse website. As often as possible, they are made by local Fair Trade Jewelry artisans who are skilled at capturing the essence of their culture's ancient Tribal Jewellery heritage.

 

In addition to owning Tribal Muse, Andrea is also a Registered Nurse who helps provide access to healthcare especially to the poor and under-privileged in Lakewood, Washington USA.
