Extraordinary pair of Antique Turkmen Tekke Tenechir. Tenechir, or Temple Pendants are worn along the side of the head at the temples. They create a mysterious frame for the face with a cascade of articulated gilded pendants and dangles. The classic eye-shaped beads are fully intact, sitting in raised bezels for added dimension. Giving the illusion of exotic earrings, Tenechir are often attached by their hooks to head pieces, veils, or even directly to the hair for support. The articulated pendants and dangles sway and jangle with every movement of the head.
