This wonderful Turkmen cuff has 9 Lapis Lazuli stones that sit in raised bezels giving added dimension to the deep blue stones. The terminals have rows of 7 claws on each each side, representing stylized  fangs, or claws for fiercely protecting the wearer. The cuff is tapered from top to bottom, with the narrower portion worn at the wrist for a good fit.

Banded Cuff Bracelets like this are classic Turkmen, traditionally worn by women at celebrations, often in pairs with one on each arm. The Turkmen call these bracelets Qasli Bilezik, and each band is called a qoshmah. The number of bands, or qoshmah, that a woman has on her bizelik is an individual preference or family tradition.
