This gorgeous large Silver Hair Clip is an exceptional piece of handcrafted Turkmen Tekke Tribal Jewelry in high grade gold-gilded Silver. It consists of 2 separate hair pendants linked by classic Turkmen decorative connectors. The unusual silver dangles are carefully incised, with gilding emphasizing the pattern. Perfect stones are richly colored indigo and vibrant red glass beads. Turkmen Tribal Women are noted to be among the few tribal groups that also decorate the back of the body as elaborately as they decorate the front. This hair clip was designed to hold the hair along the back of the head, although it can just as easily be attached to the hair on the side of the head or even attached to wound head scarves and garments.
