Beautifully handcrafted Tribal Turkoman Silver and Carnelian Asyk Pendant. The artisan has etched traditional stylized birds and flames into the Silver before Gold Gilding it. This Gold Wash creates a stunning effect typical of Turkoman jewelry. By custom, Asyk pendants were given to brides on their wedding day to symbolize wishes for a happy family. Several were worn at one time. The Carnelian stone is very popular in Turkoman jewelry and has been used since antiquity. This pendant can be easily threaded onto most chains and ribbons.
