This elegant gold-plated necklace was handcrafted in Northern India as a ceremonial and/or wedding piece.

It was skillfully made, with a delicate construction making it very lightweight despite its large size.

The artisan added a subtle patina in the crevices, mimicking the Indian ceremonial red rubbing powder.

Because it is a delicate and fragile piece, it is not intended to be worn on a daily basis, but rather at a single special event or important ceremony. It is more fragile than many of the "one-gram-gold" necklaces frequently sold in India.

Because of this fragility, I am selling it at a very low price for you to enjoy at that special event.
